Editorial Note
Centro Agrícola closes 2020 with a varied content of results and information on topics as diverse as the use of plant extracts to combat phytopathogenic fungi, as well as the application of entomopathogenic fungi to control insects-pests. To this topic can be added articles related to studies on flora, the edge effect of palm trees and information regarding the influence of climatic variables on the physiology of plants. Likewise, in the agronomic field, Centro Agrícola offers its readers studies on common beans and cultivar acclimatization, in addition to determining the quality of the “Red Enana” guava variety. At the same time, as a note on aspects of biosecurity and biological risks, an article appears on exotic and invasive woody plant species in areas of the easternmost of the Cuban provinces. With this last issue of the year 2020, the Editorial Committee of our magazine wishes our collaborators and readers a prosperous and successful New Year, with the conviction that future deliveries of Centro Agrícola will continue to contribute to increasing and improving agricultural production in our region.
